Counsellors warn of sit-in
Chandigarh, July 11 -- Psychologists and counsellors selected after the due examination process by Punjab health department have warned of sitting on indefinite hunger strike if they are not provided their appointment letters.
For the last five days candidates have been sitting in protest outside the Punjab director health and family welfare office in Sector 3. Protesters on the site claimed that over 180 candidates were selected through a transparent recruitment process for 343 sanctioned posts under the Punjab government's "Yudh nashian virudh" (war against drugs) campaign.
After clearing the written exam and all recruitment stages, the selected candidates are now protesting against the cancellation of the recruitment process....
