Ludhiana, July 1 -- Police have traced a 28-year-old woman, her three-year-old daughter and her 15-year-old sister-in-law, who went missing from the Haibowal area three days ago, to Haridwar and dispatched a team to bring them back, officials said on Tuesday. The missing woman, identified as Mamta, had left her home in Gagan Vihar on June 27 along with her daughter and teenage sister-in-law. When the trio did not return, family members searched for them before approaching the police. Acting on a complaint lodged by Mamta's mother-in-law, Suman Pandey, the Haibowal police registered an FIR against an unidentified person under charges related to wrongful confinement and launched an investigation. During the probe, the family informed police that Mamta had allegedly been in contact with a man and suspected his involvement in her disappearance. Inspector Kulwant Kaur, station house officer (SHO) of Haibowal police station, said the investigation revealed that Mamta was accompanied by a female relative of the man with whom she was allegedly in contact. "Technical evidence suggests they boarded a train from Ludhiana to Uttarakhand. Their location has been traced to Haridwar and a police team has been sent there to find them," the SHO said. Police said the circumstances under which Mamta left home and the role, of the persons accompanying her would become clear after the trio is traced.htc...
