Chandigarh, April 2 -- Chief engineer of the municipal corporation, Chandigarh, Sanjay Arora, on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Dadumajra dumping site and the waste processing plant, accompanied by senior officials and ordered a fast-tracked clearance of waste at the Daddumajra dumping ground. Arora was accompanied by senior officials. During the visit he also reviewed the status of legacy waste and assessed the ongoing waste processing mechanisms. Expressing concern over the slow pace of waste disposal, Arora issued firm directions to expedite operations. He stressed the need for a fast-track approach to ensure timely processing and scientific disposal of accumulated waste. Arora directed officials to clear pending waste at the earliest while strictly adhering to established waste management protocols. Calling for better coordination among departments, he instructed officials to ensure visible and measurable improvements in cleanliness and waste handling in the coming days.
