Chandigarh, Sept. 4 -- Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema, who also serves as the chairman of the cabinet sub-committee constituted to resolve employees' issues, held crucial meetings on Thursdaywith various employee unions. Listening their demands and concerns, the minister issued immediate directions to the relevant departments to find suitable resolutions. The state finance minister directed the concerned departments to send proposals regarding the resolution of genuine demands to the Cabinet Sub-Committee. Furthermore, he instructed that, proposals involving financial implications must be forwarded to the financedepartment on a priority basis to ensure swift necessary action.
