Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- Former Punjab chief minister and Indian National Congress (INC) leader Charanjit Singh Channi came to Panjab University (PU) on Thursday to give his final exam for MA public administration. A day before the exam, Channi skipped the Congress Working Committee meeting in New Delhi to appear for it. Interacting with the media in PU, Channi said "It was my last paper today for my master's in public administration. I had taken permission from my party's high command to skip the committee meeting. Had I skipped the paper, it would have cost me one more year in my degree, delaying my research work. The entrance exam for PhD is next month, I didn't want to miss my exam." The leader further added that by studying public administration he wants to bring reforms in Punjab's public policies and do development work. This is not the first time Channi has been seen in the university giving exams. Channi has completed law, masters' in political science and a PhD from PU, an MBA from Jalandhar and is about to complete MA public administration. His next goal is to pursue a PhD in public administration and begin research on policy reforms....
