CBI questions anil Ambani for second day in loan fraud case
New Delhi, March 21 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday questioned industrialist Anil Ambani for thesecond consecutive day in connection with probe into an alleged Rs.2,929-crore loan fraud case registered on a complaint by State Bank of India, the agency said in a statement.
CBI had registered the case in August last year against RCOM, Ambani and others.
The complaint is based on a forensic audit report that alleged large scale diversion and misutilisation of loan funds through interlinked and circuitous transactions among group entities during the period 2013-17, resulting in wrongful loss of Rs.2,929.05crores to the State Bank of India out of total exposure of Rs.19,694.33 crores involving 17 public sector banks, the CBI said in the statement.
Ambani arrived at the agency headquarters at around 10 am in his grey sedan andleft the office at around 5.15 pm....
