Jalandhar, Aug. 11 -- The counter-intelligence (CI) wing, in a joint operation with the SBS Nagar police, busted an ISI-sponsored Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module being operated by foreign-based handlers with the arrest of a key operative and recovered an 86-P hand grenade from his possession, DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Monday. The arrested accused was identified as Lakhwinder Singh alias Jola, a resident of Bairsian village in SBS Nagar. DGP Yadav said a preliminary investigation had revealed that Jola allegedly procured a consignment from a dead letter box (DLB) near Adampur in Jalandhar, on the directions of foreign-based handlers. A case has been registered under Sections 113(1) and 113(3) of the BNS and Sections 4 and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act at Sadar police station in Nawanshahr. HTC...
