Chandigarh, July 14 -- Pawan Kumar Bansal, former Member of Parliament (MP) from Chandigarh, on Monday said that the "distress expressed by leaders of the RSS and BJP leaders over the theft of donations and offerings to the Ram Temple without immediate action against the senior functionaries" of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust reeks of hypocrisy and amounts to nothing more than "crocodile tears". He said that to inspire confidence, the trust should be dissolved and reconstituted with religious leaders and eminent citizens to ensure transparency and accountability. It should be answerable to the public - not to any party or organisation, he said. He said an independent forensic audit must be conducted into all donations, offerings, land transactions, events, and expenditures related to the Ram Temple since 2020, and the findings should be made public....
