Arora launches two initiatives to boost Punjab's startup ecosystem
Chandigarh, July 10 -- Punjab industries and commerce minister Aman Arora on Thursday launched two new initiatives, Punjab Investor Circle and Startup Punjab Hub-Neuron 2.0, to strengthen the state's startup ecosystem and attract greater investment in innovation-driven enterprises.
The inaugural event, organised by Startup Punjab at Institute of Nano Science and Technology in Mohali, featured pitching sessions by 14 innovative ventures from information technology, healthcare, agritech, manufacturing and deep technology sectors.
The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors and mentors, providing a platform for startups to present their growth plans and explore opportunities for funding, strategic guidance and long-term partnerships.
Addressing the gathering, Arora highlighted the state's startup landscape, stating that Punjab was now home to over 2,500 DPIIT-recognised startups. He noted that Startup Punjab had supported more than 222 startups through seed funding exceeding Rs.6.8 crore....
