Army detains PoK minor along LoCin Poonch
Jammu, June 11 -- A 14-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was detained in Salotri area along the LoC in Poonch district after he crossed over into Indian side on Tuesday evening, said officials.
The boy, a resident of Tetrinote in PoK, might have inadvertently strayed across the LoC , said officials.
He was taken into custody after security forces detected his movement in a sensitive border zone. The Army has handed over the boy to local police for further questioning. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan army "uses minors to check alertness of the Indian troops and explore gaps on the LoC for infiltrating terrorists into Indian territory."
Meanwhile, during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, a Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over Pajani along in Poonch district. "The troops on the ground fired around nine rounds. However, they did not hit the drone due to its height and it returned back towards PoK side," said officials.
Searches on the ground were carried out on Tuesday but nothing incriminating was found, they added.htc...
