After retd Brig's killing, U'khand CM orders crackdown on criminals
Dehradun, April 1 -- In view of recent criminal incidents in Dehradun, including killing of a 74-year-old retired brigadier a day ago, the Uttarakhand police on Tuesday said they will launch a special crackdown - "Operation Prahar" - to strengthen law and order in the state capital.
This even as chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday directed officials to take strict action against criminal elements across the state. "Law and order in Uttarakhand will not be compromised under any circumstances," the CM said and asked police to launch a comprehensive checking drive with immediate effect.
