Rohtak, Aug. 18 -- Villagers and family members of dairy operator Jeevan Kundu, who was beaten to death by a group of over 10 people over some dispute in Kinala village of Hisar on August 4, on Monday said that they had agreed to cremate his mortal remains following assurance from chief minister Nayab Saini that the main accused would be arrested. The family said the cremation will take place on Tuesday morning in Kinala village. The decision was taken after members of Nyay Sangharsh Samiti, along with BJP's former state general secretary Surendra Punia, met the CM in Chandigarh. Former sarpanch Ravi Kundu said the government also agreed to cancel the FIRs registered in Hansi on August 15 when a group of protesters tried to reach Hansi to disrupt the chief minister's Independence Day programme. He said the government will also ensure the return of the seized vehicles and provide assistance to the victim's family. Meanwhile, the arrested protesters were released after they got bail from a Hansi court. The police have arrested 10 people for the murder....
