Above normal temps in HP, relief likely from today
Dharamshala, April 24 -- After several days of dry weather, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Shimla, has forecast rain and snowfall in parts of Himachal Pradesh from April 24.
The state has been recording above-normal maximum temperatures over the past few days. Several stations, including Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Kalpa and Mandi, continued to report above-normal temperatures on Thursday.
Una recorded highest maximum temperature in state at 40.0degC, followed by Kangra at 36.4degC and Sundernagar at 35.8degC. Solan and Dharamshala each recorded a maximum of 33degC, while Shimla registered 27.2degC. As per IMD, light rain and snowfall are likely at isolated places on April 24, 26 and 27, while light to moderate precipitation is expected at a few places on April 25, 28 and 29.
