AAP using PTMs for political publicity: Dhillon
Chandigarh, Oct. 9 -- Punjab BJP chief Kewal Singh Dhillon on Thursday objected to alleged directions issued by the AAP government to use parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) in government schools as a platform for political publicity and record videos of parents purportedly praising government schemes.
Dhillon said parent-teacher meetings were meant to discuss children's education, so questions related to the "Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana" had no relevance to such meetings.
"The AAP government is now using even programmes meant to obtain feedback on students' education for its publicity," he alleged.
Dhillon alleged that the Punjab government was diverting teachers from their core responsibility of teaching by asking them to record videos of parents praising government schemes and post videos on schools' social media pages. "This is highly condemnable. The responsibility of teachers is to educate children," he said.HTC...
