India Meteorological Department officials said similar conditions will continue in the coming days as well. The IMD observatory at Sector 39 recorded 2.5 mm rain, while 4.2 mm was recorded at the airport. With the monsoon axis expected to shift southwards again from Wednesday, intermittent rain is likely to continue through the rest of the week. The maximum temperature dropped from 31.5degC on Monday to 29.4degC on Tuesday, 4.1 degrees below normal. The minimum dropped from 25.8degC on Monday to 25.1degC on Tuesday, 1.3 degrees below normal.
