Mohali, Aug. 23 -- A 66-year-old man died after a car hit his motorcycle in Dera Bassi on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Gulshan Kumar, was returning home after having food with the Dera Bassi truck union when the car, bearing the registration number PB12AK-8145, hit his motorcycle.The impact threw him onto the road, leaving him critically injured. Passersby informed the police about the accident, following which he was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him brought dead. The body was sent for post-mortem examination after informing his family members. Officials are examining the circumstances that led to the collision and the role of the car involved in the accident.
