TARN TARAN, Sept. 9 -- Three youths were killed and two others were seriously injured when two vehicles carrying nine youths collided with each other near Alia village on the Khadoor Sahib-Nagoke road late Monday night. According to Verowal police station house officer (SHO) Baljinder Singh Bajwa, the accident occurred around 10 pm when a Swift car, carrying four youths, was travelling from Nagoke towards Khadoor Sahib, while a Mahindra XUV, carrying five youths, collided with each other and later crashed into a tree, while coming from the opposite direction. A stray animal suddenly came onto the road, near Alia village, causing both vehicles to lose control and crash into a tree. The deceased have been identified as Ajepal Singh, a resident of Khadoor Sahib; Sukhjit Singh of Kajikot in Tarn Taran; and Sandeep Singh of Muchhal village. Two other youths sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
