ROHTAK, Sept. 9 -- Three pilgrims, including two women were killed and 23 others sustained injuries after a canter rammed into a pickup carrying devotees on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Mandothi village in Bahadurgarh on Tuesday. According to the police, the deceased were identified as Laltesh Singh, Suman, 28, and Longshree,62, of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. Some of the injured pilgrims were identified as Prem, Har Gyan, Satyavati, Meena, Thakurdas, Dhirendra, Rajkali, Preeti, Kanti, Reena, Sonia, Sanjana, Vishakha and Babita. They have been admitted to the nearby hospitals. While the police investigation to identify all injured is under way. The bodies of the deceased were sent for postmortem examination at civil hospital in Bahadurgarh. According to the police the accident took place around 5 am as the pilgrims were returning to Uttar Pradesh after offering prayers at Gogamedi in Rajasthan. The devotees belonged to Chandausi and Gumthal villages in Sambhal district. Asauda police station incharge Jai Bhagwan said that the canter driver fled the spot after the collision and the search operation to trace the driver is underway....
