Mohali, July 20 -- Three persons sustained injuries after a Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) bus heading to Haldwani rammed into a truck near Zirakpur on Sunday morning. Driver Sukhvinder Singh said the accident occurred around 8 am when the bus had just crossed the flyover near Hotel Maryland on the highway. "The bus was entering the slip road when its electrical system suddenly failed, causing the steering to lock, thus resulting in the mishap," he said. A woman passenger fell inside the bus and suffered a head injury. Others received minor injuries from broken glass. Police officials said there were six to seven passengers at that time. The three injured persons were taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 where one passenger was discharged. The driver said another CTU bus was sent to the spot to take the remaining passengers to their destination. The damaged bus will be shifted to Chandigarh, where officials will inspect it....
