Sangrur, Sept. 27 -- A 23-year-old man from Kanoi village in Sangrur died on Friday after consuming a poisonous substance, allegedly due to repeated threats by the village sarpanch. The victim's father alleged that his son consumed a poisonous substance because the sarpanch, along with his brother and wife, allegedly forced him to take the extreme step.He demanded that a FIR be registered against the accused.
