2 from city killed in Shimla mishap
Dharamshala, April 15 -- Two residents of Chandigarh died after their car veered off the road and plunged nearly 80 metres down a steep slope near Summer Hill in Shimla, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bara Singh and Gurmeet Singh, both residents of Maloya colony.
According to police officials, the accident occurred late Monday night near the Medical Inspection (MI) room, but came to light only on Tuesday. Bara Singh was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The car, bearing a Chandigarh registration number, rolled down the hillside after going off the road. Police have registered a case under Sections 281 (rash, negligent driving) and 106 (death by negligence) at West Shimla police station....
