1,100 women to tie Rakhis to soldiers in Fazilka
Chandigarh, Aug. 19 -- To express gratitude to the men guarding the nation's borders, 1,100 women from Fazilka will tie Rakhis on the wrists of 1,100 Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on August 23, ahead of Rakhi.
Punjab governor and UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria launched the programme's poster in Chandigarh on Tuesday, in the presence of Shaheedon Ki Samadhi Committee president Karan Gilhotra, members Navdeep Asija and Raman Khurana. A special programme, 'Rakhi Sarhad Ke Naam' will also be held at the Asafwala War Memorial in Fazilka on the occasion, where Kataria will be chief guest.htc...
