Chandigarh, May 2 -- Urging party functionaries to work with commitment and take the BJP's policies and achievements to every household, Union minister for health & family welfare and chemicals & fertilisers Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday said a strong organisation and dedicated cadre were the biggest strengths of the party. Nadda chaired a meeting of the party's Chandigarh core committee at the BJP state office - Kamalam - in Sector 33. Detailed discussions covered various organisational matters aimed at strengthening the party structure and making it more active and people-centric, the party stated. Emphasis was placed on reinforcing the organisation from the booth level to the state level, enhancing the role of party workers, and making the institutional framework more effective. Additionally, focus was placed on maintaining discipline within the party, urging all office bearers and workers to strictly adhere to the party's principles and values. The meeting also stressed strategies for the upcoming municipal corporation elections. Plans were discussed to ensure organisational activation in every ward, intensify public outreach campaigns, and effectively communicate issues of public interest to the people. BJP national vice president Saudan Singh, former MP Kirron Kher, general secretary (Punjab & Chandigarh) Manthri Srinivasulu, state president Jitender Pal Malhotra, former state president and current co-incharge of Himachal Pradesh Sanjay Tandon, state general secretaries Ramveer Bhatti among others were present. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union minister for chemicals and fertilisers and health and family welfare, visited National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali today to review its research roadmap and innovation ecosystem. He held a boardroom meeting with senior officials, including secretary Manoj Joshi. Director NIPER, Dulal Panda presented the institute's vision, key performance indicators (KPI) and strategic plans, highlighting Centres of Excellence such as COE-AVAB and COE-Biopharmaceuticals, along with licensing opportunities and translational research initiatives. He underlined NIPER's role in advancing the government's Biopharma SHAKTI mission through work in cell and gene therapies, biologics, biosimilars, AI-driven pharmacoinformatics and advanced drug deliverysystems....
