India, May 1 -- A fter actor Payal Rohatgi stepped down from her husband, professional wrestler Sangram U Singh's charitable foundation in July last year, speculation about trouble in their marriage has been rife on social media. But when we caught up with Sangram, he brushed it off with humour, calling their dynamic that of "puraane zamaane ke dushman". Sangram, who married Payal in July 2022, says, "Jo genuine couples hote hain na, woh rail ki patri ki tarah rehte hain. Saath zaroor chalte hain, par unke vichaar kabhi nahin milte... Jo purane zamaane mein dushman hote thhe na, iss zamaane mein pati-patni banke aa jaate hain." The 40-year-old adds that he has learnt a lot from Payal, 47. "I have learnt how to live life without worrying about what others think," he says. Recently, Sangram faced a last-minute setback when his original opponent, French fighter Mauteu Moteiro, withdrew from their April 5 bout due to a knee injury and was replaced, forcing the wrestler to change his strategy. He recalls that Payal stood firmly by his side through the challenge, and he eventually secured the win. "She explained that I have come so far. she simply said, 'Keep yourself safe. Trust yourself'," he ends....
