Tusshar says Welcome to the Jungle set was 'like a family'
India, July 11 -- As actor Tusshar Kapoor basks in the success of his recently released film Welcome to the Jungle, the single father opens up about balancing the chaos of a big-budget multi-starrer with the responsibilities of parenthood.
Acting alongside Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani and other stars, the 49-year-old reveals how the shoot's schedule helped him establish a routine with his son, Laksshya (10).
"Hum log toh 9am to 6pm hi shoot karte the and it was all in Mumbai. Toh shaam ko 6.30 baje tak ghar aa jata tha, and then I used to be with my son. He was seven at the time. So while his Dad went for shoot, he went to school," he shares. Tusshar became a single father in June 2016 when he welcomed his son via IVF and surrogacy.
Calling director Ahmed Khan someone who truly values family time, Tusshar praises his understanding and accommodating nature whenever parental responsibilities called him away from the set.
"When Laksshya had his third-grade annual day production, I asked Ahmed if I could come in late. He said, 'It's okay, you don't have to come today. If I need you, I'll call you later'," the actor recalls.
Wrapping up his thoughts, he concludes, "This set was like a family."...
