Hansika's sister-in-law, Nancy James, asks to stay out of divorce drama
India, March 15 -- A
ctor Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya finalised their divorce on March 11 at Bandra Family Court, ending their three-year marriage. The separation was by mutual consent, with Hansika reportedly waiving alimony.
Following the news, Hansika's estranged sister-in-law, Nancy James, separated from Hansika's brother Prashant Motwani, asked not to be drawn into the matter after receiving a flood of messages on social media. Speaking exclusively to us, Nancy said, "I was getting calls and messages for comments, I was fed up so I wrote the message on Stories (see inset). Honestly, I don't want to involve myself in anyone else's life. My divorce is underway, and I am on a healing journey."
In December 2024, Nancy filed an FIR against Hansika and her mother, alleging domestic violence that she says caused Bell's palsy. She also claimed undue interference from Hansika and her mother during her marriage and said she was pressured to sell her flat. Hansika and her mother had secured anticipatory bail in February 2025 and later approached the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR.
Distancing herself from the current controversy, Nancy concluded, "I have full faith in the judiciary. Justice will prevail, and once the case reaches its logical conclusion, I will speak at length. But right now, I don't want to be dragged into her case."...
