'Bina support ke kisi ki zindagi nahin banti industry mein'
India, Sept. 1 -- From being a supporting actor 20 years back to being the crowd-puller, even with a cameo, Pankaj Tripathi has come a long way in the film industry. WIth the last month's release Ohh My Dog and the web series Perfect Family last year, the actor showed his audience pull even with the smallest part, and he insists on the need of supporting each other within the industry, especially new talents.
"We have a very small film industry and there are many new people who come in. If a like-minded actor or filmmaker feels their film needs some kind of help, then we should support them. Bina kisi ke support ke kisi ki zindagi nahin banti hai," he asserts, adding, "Perfect Family mere dost ne banayi thi par mujhe bhi bohot pasand aayi to maine support ki. Ohh My Dog ek aisi film hai jisme dogs aur bachhe hain, Amit (Sharma, director) ji mere friend hai aur dosto ki duty bhi banti hai ki aise kahaniyo ko hum support karein."
The 49-year-old actor acknowledges his growth and success, but doesn't let it get over his head. "Mujhe nahin pride feel hota apne upar. Mere mein kuch to hormonal imbalance chal raha hai," he laughs. However, the actor adds in a more reflective tone, "I think about it a lot. Maybe I should have some arrogance considering I have achieved something. But I don't feel any pride because you never know when that gets converted into arrogance. There is a very thin line. Main nahin chahta ke mere mein ghamand aa jaaye. So neither I get too excited with success nor demotivated with failure of any kind," says Tripathi....
