Work begins on new Muthurajawela-Katunayake aviation fuel pipeline
Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- Laying of a new aviation fuel pipeline from Muthurajawela to Katunayake is scheduled to begin today under the president's leadership.
The project involves constructing a dedicated fuel transport pipeline connected to the fueling terminal at Bandaranaike International Airport, alongside an aviation fuel storage tank complex with a capacity of 92,000 cubic metres and related facilities.
Modifications to the existing terminal at Muthurajawela will also take place concurrently.
