Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- A 42-year-old female passenger lost her life after falling from a motorcycle on the Konthahela road, according to Bandarawela Police.

The incident occurred yesterday (18) evening as the motorcycle traveled from Konthahela toward Bandarawela.

The passenger fell onto the road and sustained critical injuries when the vehicle moved over a speed breaker.

Although residents rushed her to the Bandarawela Hospital immediately, she passed away following admission.

The deceased was a resident of the Bandarawela area. Police took the motorcyclist into custody and continue further investigations into the event.
