Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- A woman residing in the Batuwatta area was arrested in connection with an online financial fraud incident.

The North Western Province Unit of the Computer Crime Investigation Division made the arrest.

Investigations revealed that the suspect conducted this racket through a Telegram group.

It was also revealed during investigations that the woman obtained money transfers after claiming that money could be earned through an online business.

The arrested suspect is a 38-year-old resident of the Batuwatta area.
