Sri Lanka, Oct. 21 -- A woman has been arrested at Badulla Prison for allegedly attempting to smuggle suspected ice narcotics concealed inside a pair of shorts intended for a remand prisoner.

The substance, weighing 130 milligrams, was discovered on 19 October 2026 during a routine search at the prison's visitor screening area.

The suspect and the seized substance were subsequently handed over to Badulla Police for further investigation and legal action.
