Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- The Maligakanda Magistrate's Court has ordered an individual from the Wattala area to pay a fine of Rs. 42,000 after being found guilty of 16 charges, including the distribution of fruit drinks using labels containing false information.

Delivering the verdict, the Maligakanda Magistrate ordered the complete destruction of the stock of fruit nectar bearing fake labels that was taken into custody by officers during the raid.

Submitting further facts, officials informed the court that the individual had been operating this fraudulent business for approximately five years while evading authorities.
