Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- A 39-year-old father of three died following a violent clash between two families in the Matukele colony of Ruwanpura, Hatton.

Five other individuals who sustained injuries during the altercation are currently receiving treatment at the Dickoya Basic Hospital.

The conflict reportedly originated from a disagreement regarding the drinking water supply provided via pipelines to the residents of the colony.

According to the police, several verbal arguments occurred between the two parties on the 24th, which eventually escalated into a physical confrontation.

Six people from both sides were initially admitted to the Dickoya Basic Hospital.
