Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- The strong partnership between the United States and Sri Lanka in combating transnational drug trafficking continues to deliver tangible results.

Great to see the swift response and outstanding work of Sri Lankan law enforcement and airport authorities at BIA Sri Lanka over the weekend. Acting on information shared by U.S. law enforcement, they seized 1.2 kg of cocaine and made an arrest, keeping dangerous drugs off the streets.

This is U.S.-Sri Lanka cooperation delivering results through timely information sharing, close coordination and decisive action against transnational drug trafficking.
