Sri Lanka, March 16 -- A 25-year-old university student from Galle was arrested at his home in Batapola this afternoon (16) while in possession of 1,800 mg of 'ICE' and nine rounds of 9mm live ammunition.

The Galle Division Anti-Corruption Unit states the suspect, a resident of Nindana, Batapola, currently studies at a university in Galle and struggles with drug addiction.

Police report the suspect claims a school friend, who was a suspect in a homicide that occurred in the Mitiyagoda police area on May 3 last year, provided the live ammunition.

Officers also seized a motorcycle from the suspect's possession, which investigations reveal is registered to an individual in Dikwella, while its revenue license was issued to a person in Ahan...
