Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- Seven-day detention orders have been obtained for two suspects arrested on charges of aiding and abetting the recent hand grenade attack on a house along Sirisangabo Mawatha in Dehiwala, which resulted in the deaths of two children.

Police stated that the arrested individuals include the man who transported the hand grenade and the person who accompanied him in a three-wheeler.

Investigations revealed that the individual who brought the grenade had maintained close contact with an alleged organised criminal known as Kalubowila Avishka since their school days, with both being involved in drug trafficking.
