Sri Lanka, Oct. 25 -- The Department of Irrigation says two spill gates at the Rajanganaya Reservoir remain open due to the prevailing rainy conditions.

A water volume of 1,380 cubic feet per second is released into the Kala Oya through these gates.

Following the rainfall experienced in recent days, authorities took steps to open eight spill gates at the Rajanganaya Reservoir.
