Sri Lanka, Oct. 1 -- Police stated that two individuals sustained serious injuries when a three-wheeler travelling at high speed from Hatton to Bogawantalawa overturned across the road at the Bogawantalawa estate area this morning (1) at around 6:00 AM.

The driver of the three-wheeler and a woman travelling in the rear seat were admitted to the Bogawantalawa Divisional Hospital following the mishap, police noted.

The injured woman was subsequently transferred to the Dikoya Base Hospital for further treatment.

Investigations conducted by the Bogawantalawa Police indicate that the incident occurred because the driver was unable to control the speed of the moving three-wheeler.
