SriLanka, April 1 -- Two individuals lost their lives, and three others sustained serious injuries following separate motorcycle crashes in Parasangaswewa and Kandy yesterday (31) afternoon.

In the Parasangaswewa police area, a head-on collision between two motorcycles traveling in opposite directions on the Rathmale-Medagama road resulted in the death of a 25-year-old passenger.

The victim was a resident of the Ambagaswewa area.

Both riders involved in the collision are currently receiving treatment at the Parasangaswewa Hospital for their injuries.

Separately, a 33-year-old woman residing in Gannoruwa died following an incident on William Gopallawa Mawatha in Kandy.
