Two fake doctors arrested with forged documents in Meegalewa
Sri Lanka, Oct. 7 -- Two individuals who allegedly posed as doctors using forged documents were arrested in Meegalewa yesterday (06) alongside a stock of medicines.
Officers of the Walana Central Anti-Vice Striking Force carried out the arrest based on information received by the unit, with assistance from the Kurunegala Regional Director of Health Services.
The suspects were taken into custody with medicines estimated to be worth around Rs. 1.5 million and subsequently handed over to the Meegalewa Police Station.
The two suspects, aged 33 and 62, are residents of Meegalewa.
Kurunegala District Drug Inspector officers, Medical Officers of Health, and the Meegalewa Police are conducting further investigations.
