Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- Two children have died and their mother has sustained severe injuries following a motorcycle incident in the Halabandaragama area on the Madampe - Kuliyapitiya road, police say.

The deceased have been identified as two boys aged 13 and 11, who were residents of Weerakodiyana in Dummalasuriya.

The mother injured in the crash is currently receiving treatment at the Chilaw General Hospital.

Police stated that the incident occurred when the motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into an electric pole.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 5:00 AM today in the Pothuwila area along the Madampe - Kuliyapitiya road.

The bodies of the victims have been placed at the Chilaw General Hospital for post-mortem exami...
