Sri Lanka, May 18 -- Two Sri Lankans were arrested with over Rs. 145 million worth of kush cannabis at Katunayake Airport

A stock of kush cannabis weighing 14 kilograms and 562 grams, valued at over Rs. 145 million, was seized by the Customs Narcotics Control Department at the Katunayake Airport.

The suspects were arrested by the officers while attempting to take the narcotics out through the Green Channel of the arrival terminal.

The two suspects, residents of Dematagoda, are aged 22 and 30.

They arrived in the country from Bangkok, Thailand this morning.

The narcotics were found hidden amongst clothing, packed in twenty-eight packages inside two pieces of luggage brought by them.
