Sri Lanka, Feb. 25 -- Twelve individuals arrested for participating in an unlawful assembly, assaulting police officers, and obstructing their duties received a remand order until the 5th for an identification parade.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva issued the order after Pettah Police produced the suspects in court.
The group consists of twelve traders operating in the Pettah area.
According to police reports submitted to the court, the incident occurred when officers attempted to inspect two Palestinian nationals acting suspiciously within the Pettah shopping complex.
