Turkish tourist critically injured in train fall
Sri Lanka, July 19 -- A 23-year-old Turkish female tourist, travelling on the footboard of the 'Podi Menike' train, fell from the train and sustained critical injuries.
The young woman, who boarded the train from the Nanu Oya railway station at 9 a.m. today (19), faced the incident between the Parakumpura and Ambewela railway stations, the Ambewela Station Master said.
The injured tourist was travelling from Nanu Oya to Ella with two of her friends, and it is revealed that she fell from the train to the ground attempting to take photographs while staying on the footboard of the train.
