Travel ban issued for two directors of illegal TM App pyramid scheme
Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- A travel ban was issued against two directors of the illegal pyramid company "TM App" for allegedly defrauding millions of rupees of public money by advertising that investing Rs. 7,800 to watch online advertisements could yield an annual income ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 589,840,000. Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the order.
The travel ban applied to suspects Karagoda David Lalith, residing in Panadura and Mohamed Rasiq Mohamed Sabri, residing in Kalmunai, who serve as directors of the pyramid company, following facts presented by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department.
