Sri Lanka, June 20 -- Train operations on the Upcountry railway line between Nanu Oya and Ambewela, which were disrupted due to the Ditwah disaster situation, resumed from the Nanu Oya railway station at 9:00 am today (20).

This comes with the complete completion of the reconstruction work on the railway line that was affected by a landslide seven months ago due to the impact of Cyclone Ditwah.

Nuwara Eliya District Coordinating Committee Chairman Member of Parliament Manjula Suraweeraarachchi and the District Railway Executive Engineer, among others, attended the occasion.
