Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- During the first six days of this month, 42,810 tourists arrived in the country, Tourism Development Authority data indicates.

Accordingly, the highest number of tourists during that period arrived from India, which is 7,827.

The Tourism Development Authority noted that from the beginning of the year until the first 06 days of this month, total tourist arrivals are recorded as 1,386,228. From the total, 346,057 tourists arrived from India and 135,323 were from the United Kingdom.
