SriLanka, April 7 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers at several places in Northern, North-central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern provinces after 1.00 p.m.

Showers may occur in Hambanthota and Ampara districts in the morning.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Ampara and Polonnaruwa districts during the early hours of the morning.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
