SriLanka, April 4 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasted showers or thundershowers may occur at several places across most parts of the island after 1:00 p.m. today (04).

Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some locations in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-Central, and Eastern provinces.

Additionally, misty conditions may prevail during the early morning in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Vavuniya and Kurunegala districts.

The Department urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
