Sri Lanka, Sept. 12 -- The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory indicating the development of atmospheric conditions favourable for afternoon thundershowers across the island's Northern and Eastern provinces in the coming days.

According to the latest forecast, several major provinces and districts are expected to experience rainy conditions.
